How to Nollie:
You can practice the nollie when you are either standing or riding. If you practice while riding, make sure that your board is set straight and going slow.
[1] Transfer your weight to the nose of your board while crouching down a bit.
[2] Try to hang on, standing on the nose, and do not fall. You should be able to feel your board bend. Lift up your hind foot so that you can put more weight on the nose.
[3] Now, bounce off by kicking on your front foot. You can bounce higher if you built up more flex.
[4] Once you see the idea of how it works, practice over and over and you will get the timing of lifting and bouncing.
[5] When you reach high enough, pull your feet close to your chest in the air. This gives you the balance and enables you to land on both feet.
[6] Land with both feet and bend your knees to absorb the shock.
It is important to note that the nollie is not a jump that you kick up with both feet together, as with normal jumps. Balance and timing are crucial for the nollie as well.
Also, when you transfer your weight to the nose and lift your hind foot up, you should feel that you are almost diving foward, but it will not happen because of your board and bindings.
