Waxing, believe it or not, has tremendous effect on your riding. Even a simple spray wax will give you a much smoother riding. People take care of their boards for the purpose of maintaining ther boards as well.
If you decide to wax your board, try this instant waxing that brings you a lot better than just putting spray wax but still in a matter of minutes.

How to Wax?

Things to Prepare:

If you go to any kind of snowboarding store, you should be able to find these necessities. Cost and quality vary depending on brands and how you get them.

Remover

It takes off all the dirts on a board.
Spray type is recommeded for an easy-use.

Paste Wax or Spray Wax
Get either paste type wax or spray type wax.
It is said that paste wax lasts longer than spray wax.

Brush
There are three kinds of brushes in snowboarding: nylon; bronze; horse hair. We use nylon brush for this instant waxing.

Cork
With a cork, we rub wax into the board.
The size should be a handful size.

Steps:

[1] Spray the remover all over to the board. Although snowboarding is done on the snow, the board gets dirty after a while. When the board is not clean, it will spoil the wax. With a remover, clean the board first.

[2] After waiting for a bit, you should wipe the remover off before it dries. Rather than towels or tissues, it is expected to use something like kitchen paper, which does not leave any dust.

[3] By using the sponge that comes with the wax, spread wax all over the board. If you use spray wax, spray it to an entire board.

[4] After putting wax all over to the board, rub your board's surface with cork quickly. It is not spreading wax again, but to put it into the deeper level of the board with a help of frictional heat. This explains why you want to rub it that quickly.

[5] Brush your board well to finish up. This is for taking off unnecessary wax from tiny grooves on the surface of the board.

Why don't you try it if you have five extra minutes before riding for the heck of it!
