This is actually a cool trick to learn. You should master a ollie and fakie to try this trick. Not to mention, for frontside 180, you will make half circle so that you have to land on a fakie stance.
Generally, there are two directions of spining in snowboarding tricks: One is a frontside spin that you open your body toward the direction of the movement (counter-clockwise in regular). The other is called a blindside spin(backside) that you spin turning to the back (clockwise in regular).
Here, we will focus on a frontside spin, which is easier than a blindside since you can see the direction you are turning to. Essentially they have similar steps.
How to frontside 180:
[1] Just as the ollie, the balance is very important when approaching. If you do not maintain your balance, you cannot even make a ollie.
[2] Prepare for the ollie. Here, get your waist down and bend your knees. You can jump higher by crouching lower.
[3] In order to press on the tail, transfer your weight towards the back. Up untl here, it is almost the same as the ollie. Kick up just as you make ollie by using the flex of the board.
[4] To spin 180, you need a ollie plus a precedent move to generate the power to spin your body. It might take a while to get used to that your lower body is doing a ollie when your upper body is turining to frontside. Here, opening up your shoulders is good way of a precedent move.
[5] You feel your upper and lower body are twisted? If the timing of the ollie and the precedent move matches, your board will start turining in the air without any intent.
[6] Now, pull your feet to your chest. By doing this, the board will spin more along with a precedent move. Notice that you are almost in a fakie stance in the air by now.
[7] Landing: Make sure you are at least able to manipulate speed in a fakie stance, otherwise it can be very dangerous.
Important points in making a frontside 180 are:
・ Master a ollie and fakie.
・ Get an idea of a precedent move.
・ Learn with your body the timing of the ollie and the precedent move.
